Yes, Winter Farmers’ Market in Black Mountain does exist! You’ll find a lot more than traditional winter staples like potatoes and onions at the market. Area farmers are now able to provide fresh greens grown in hoop houses, herbs, cabbage, carrots, beets, radish, & garlic throughout the fall, winter & spring. The Black Mountain Winter Market has grown from the demand for a direct producer-to-consumer experience beyond the traditional summer market season.

This market was created by farmers, and continues to be operated by farmers, for farmers. Our focus is on food and agricultural products. In addition to vegetables, during the months of November through April, you can find grassfed meats, cheeses, farm fresh eggs, fermented vegetables & kombucha, honey, artisan breads & baked goods, syrups, jams & preserves, grains & oils, locally grown and blended teas, ethically sourced coffee, locally-pressed juices, local sourced hot breakfast, music, and much more, all under one roof at the Roots & Fruits Market in beautiful downtown Black Mountain. Saturdays, from 11am to 2pm.
